Does anybody actually know if this exists? I have heard of a project of a fan game in which the hero goes back to Spielburg and things are worse than ever, and it supposedly takes place between the events of "Quest For Glory 4" and "Quest For Glory 5," although I have no idea how that would work since you're summoned to Silmaria right after you're done in Mordavia. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to find this game if it does exist.
The game definitely exists.

I think there's someone on Youtube who actually did a "tour" of the game, if you're interested in looking it up.

Don't try to make sense of how the Hero gets back to Spielburg in this crude, non-canon game, it's not worth the energy wasted.

I believe it was also made before QFG5 came out (there was quite a gap). It was bizarre; not horribly made for the time (given their reverse engineering of resources before that was a commonly viable thing) but certainly not good. I don't think they were going for a Best Game Ever award; hell, they were probably shooting for the Razzie equivalent.

Mentioning QFG4.5 on the Quest for More Glory forums gets you either a censure which can quickly change into a ban.

EDIT: I take it back. Apparently it came out in 2001, while QFG5 came out in 1998.

I remember that game. It was made in an early version of AGS (Adventure Game Studio), using ripped graphics from not just QFG1 VGA, but also from other commercial games. Others are right about the crudity.. I tried it shortly after it was first released, but quickly lost interest and never finished. If you're a fan of South Park, some of the crudity might give you a few laughs.. for example, I vaguely remember having a sexual encounter with the centaur lady.

I actually tried replaying it again a while back, after playing the AGD Sierra remakes, but had some trouble getting the ancient AGS interpreter to work properly in WIndows 7. Maybe using DosBox may help.
And I'm that "someone" who posted the tour video haha.

QFG4.5 has some crude stuff in it but avoiding that you can experience a really fun adventure game and a greatly expanded speilburg valley with many new areas (admittedly ripped from other Sierra games lol).

I've written a walkthrough to the game, created a map and filmed some videos.

You can check it all out at my QFG4.5 tribute page here..

Wow, it looks like they plagiarized everything. Not only are the graphics exactly the same as they were in QFG1, but they stole screenshots and character portraits from other Sierra games. They have screen shots from "King's Quest 5" and "King's Quest 6," and somehow some of the characters look exactly like "Conquests of the Longbow" characters. I like originality
