... and about to be faster. Here is a link to a slower video with a proof-of-concept. The 1.5 minute run is up on Speed Demos Archives forums in verification right now. I've been working with a TAS runner on this, and he has finished the game. The tool-assisted run is 45.2 seconds long from start to finish. :D The second I have a video for that I'll post it also.

This poor game is just... destroyed. We don't even need Calm anymore. lol

Wow.....

I am speechless... that poor game indeed. And I can't wait to see that TAS run too since I suspect it will play on the Fastest walking speed, which is impossible to accurately control for a human player.

Man, I definitely need to get my mojo back and finish Quest for Glory IV and V. There's so many of your runs I can't watch right now out of fear of spoiler.
Congratulations!! :)
Thanks, all. The TAS run is actually down to a hair above 42 seconds, but it is finished. I am helping to write up a history of QFG speedrunning for the submission, but I will say THERE ARE SURPRISES. For example, in the EGA you can "cast open" instead of "throw dagger" and it unlocks the character faster. This may be a 1.00 version glitch, because it was definitely fixed for the VGA version. I haven't checked the GOG 1.20 to see if they patched that.

Also, did you know the Brigand's trap-yard can be completed in less than one second? I'll say it is definitely impossible for a human to do, but it is so fast in a TAS that it's just done and over.
