I've thrown rocks at this darn elderbury bush, but nothing seems to happen ... I then leave the rubber chicken and can get around the bush to strip berries off of a loose branch behind. Great! But when it says I strip the berries, I apparently put them in a pocket (?) of the pack ... and they don't appear in the inventory. Help! Not sure how I access that pocket to get the berries to finish the pie.

They should be in your inventory - are you able to scroll up and down it?

Also, a tip: try tossing rocks at the bush *after* luring it with the chicken. It'll drop the branch with berries in a safer spot.

I've never seen it happen with the elderberries, but sometimes collecting an item multiple times makes it glitch into other items. For example, adding hair multiple times to the broom changes the graphics. Is it possible that A) you've already added the berries to the pan already, or B) you've picked up so many that they've changed into something else?

Use the eye and check all of the items in your pack to see if any of them are elderberries that look like something else. Using the eye on the pan will tell you the contents of the pan, also.

Thanks to both of you! I did figure this out, but figured I'd post here for anyone else. If you lure with the chicken, you CAN go over to the fall west wall and pick berries -- but those are the ones that never appear in your pack. You do have to get the bush to drop a branch -- THOSE are the berries that will appear once you pick them up.

I swear the first time I did this, I threw a bunch of rocks and it didn't fall off -- I think you have to stand a little farther away from it, and throw at least two rocks.
