I've heard people say that the voice acting in this game is bad, and even Corey said that the voice acting was "disappointing." Personally, I don't see the problem. I think the voice acting in this game is pretty good for the most part. I think most of the voices are good, and some of them are great. True, the voice acting was better in QFG4 and the characters that were in both games wall sounded better in QFG4. But when you compare QFG5 voice acting to that in other games with voice acting (other Sierra games at least), I'd say QFG5 compares favorably in most cases. A lot of voice actors in Sierra games could only wish they could do the "disappointing" job of the QFG5 actors. Some of my favorite voices in the game include Toro, Elsa, Andre, the Sybil, Hippolyta, the Famous Adventurer, Wolfie, Rakeesh, Logos, Rakeesh, Shakra, Erasmus (it wasn't Neil Ross but it was still quite good), the voices of Cerberus, Dr. Pretorious, Dr. Mobius, Marrak, Sarra, hell once you get used to the fact that it isn't Jennifer Hale I love the QFG5 Katrina voice for what it is. In fact that's a lot of favorite voices. I guess I'll have to disagree with Corey and the critics.

I actually agree, the voices are pretty good in this version. It also helps that they're easily understandable, too.

Quest for Glory 4 sometimes suffered from audio compression, even if the voice acting was better.

Rakeesh sounds appropriately noble, and Shakra sounds exactly what I'd expect the only male liontaur wizard to sound like.
