All of a sudden, I can no longer save or restore my game, no matter what I do. I can restart, quit, and play the game, but that's all.

I couldn't post to GoG support because for some reason, I can't attach the diagdx what-have-you my question.

Were you able to save/restore before? Did you move the installation files or did you reinstall the game before the problem occurred? On what operation system are you running the game?
Yes, I was able to save and restore before. I was up to the scene where you 're outside the genie cave with Ad Avis. Everything had been running smoothly. I have Windows Vista. I downloaded the game from GoG and went through the inital process - the games are on my desktop. I tried to play a couple of days ago and could not save and restore; I couldn 't click on "continue quest," can't use F5 or F7, can't use drop down boxes, can't even type "save game" or "restore game." Nothing.

Thanks for any help you can give
I had this exact same thing happen to me last week. Have you managed to solve the problem?

What's your OS? Is this the GOG version? Where did you install the game to? What exact thing is happening?

OS is Windows 7, it is the GOG version, the game is installed here: C:\GOG Games\Quest for Glory Pack\Quest for Glory 2, I am unable to use F5 or F7, they appear in the menu but are not clickable, hitting them on the keyboard does nothing, and clicking the Continue Quest from the opening menu doesn't do anything.
I didn't forget. Just having some hard drive problems.

That all looks fine. I take it you have tried running the game as admin and it still happens?

Perhaps your TRIALSG.DIR file is corrupted. In which case you would want to backup all your saves first.

I'm having the same problem.

I've tried reinstalling it on a new hard drive and still have the same problem, importing a character still works though. But I don't like the idea of playing the game through beginning till end without saving and loading at the risk of it crashing and maybe not being able to save my export character.

I fixed my problem. I made sure I deleted all my save game files, from the main directory and the cloud save folder. My save files must have been corrupted.

*thumbs up* to GOG support for putting up with me, while them and I were trying to figure out why it stopped working.
