I'm looking all over the desert for the beast that needs to be dispelled, but it's just not there. I'm on day 3. Is that too early? I've been looking at maps online and it's simply not there.

Why are you looking for a beast? When I played, I only knew to go looking for it because the guard near the Saurus paddock told me that the Dervish had something to tell me (which happened to be something about a beast). Given that it's day 3, I'm thinking you are too early.

You are looking to early.

You have to wait until day 14 or something. You will know because when you go out, the guard guarding the entrance of the city tells you that "The Dervish" wants to speak with you.

Ah, the Dervish mentioned a puzzle which I followed up on and he told me about the beast. I didn't know the guard had to prompt too. I guess it seems I sequence broke without knowing it. Thanks.
