Anyone else shown this message upon starting the game (v2.0.0.1) in Windows 8.1:

"The program can't start because XINPUT1_3.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem."

I'm back to desktop after clicking OK.

Now, I do appreciate that I could grab a copy of the file from one of the shady websites but I'm more interested in the original problem, of the game not installing the dll on its own, being fixed. Anyone know why is the file missing?

Wasn't that easy - download is a bunch of cab files. Had to find relevant missing dlls manually. Were experiencing the "DLLRegistryServer entry point is not found" problem so just dropped the files in the game binary folder. That worked for launching the game though audio is missing. Dlls have their versions included in the filename so that must be ok. One of the missing dlls (XAPOFX1_5.dll) had another dll in the same folder (XAudio2_7.dll) despite game not complaining, co tried copying that over as well. Neither of the compatibility modes helped.

Any ideas?
