I get a menu selecting which flavor of Quake II I want to launch. I am just trying to launch the vanilla Quake II.
I have tried run and run in safe mode and the same thing happens each time. Windows announces it's switching
to Windows 7 Basic, there is a rundll process started up visible in Task Manager, but no game ever begins. It just
sits there forever doing nothing. If I end the process in Task Manager then Windows will go back to full aqua mode.
The RTX version works great but this original version is a no go I guess. I wanted to hear the game with music and see what it was like before this RTX update, plus play those expansions.
Not sure where to begin troubleshooting. Windows 7x64, 16GB RAM, RTX 2060, intel i5 3570k.
