Every time I want to play the campaign and complete the first tutorial deathmatch, against the bot Crash, the game throws me back to the inevitable screen showing a message that goes like this: cl_parsepacketentities - end of message. After that, the game exits and I end up on windows again. I have toyed around with several setups and options, but I can't find a way to complete the whole campaign. I did get as far as the first tier once, but it looks like it happened completely per accident. Is there a fix or a workaround for this? I would love to play against bots in Quake 3 Arena again. Also, it seems like the steam version works fine, albeit it doesn't include the Team Arena expansion there. Is that the reason why it doesn't allow progress? What does cl_parsepacketentities mean and what can I do to fix it?
