I'm completely lost to use the official addons (GOG version), I use windows 10 64 bits.

For Quake 1 for the basic game, I use Darkplaces with hd textures and everything is fine.

But for addons I have trouble, for the first addon 'Scourge of Armagon', I put the folder "hipnotic" in the Darkplaces folder but after that when it comes to editing the file "armagon.bat" I don't understand anything, and whether or not I edit this file beats the game refuses to launch.

For your information here is my path from Darkplaces (Quake 1) is:
"C:\film 2\quake_epsilon_v2_52_2-8-2014

For Quake 2 I use'quake2 xp', here is my path :
D:\Film\q2xp1266_qexpo\quake2xp.exe

I would like to point out that before posting, I looked for and tested advice in vain.

For Quake 1 here is a version already configured (for Darkplaces) but you will still need to copy the full version files for it to work.

For Quake 2 after having put the respective folders of each add-ons, it will be necessary to create a shortcut and modify its properties like this:


For ground zero => /quake2xp +set game rogue
For the reckoning => /quake2xp +set game xatrix

A word of advice, don't play the mission packs with Darkplaces, you will encounter bugs. I'm almost through with the second one now, so it's possible to finish them, but some things just don't work correctly. I hear Quakespasm is a much better choice.
