Can't open the journal by using escape. (Press Esc and nothing happens) This is very important since this is how you save the game. I am using Windows 8 and that probably has a lot to do with it. Help, please? I'd just change my controls but that's in the journal too...

I have so far not had any issues with the journal so far. I also use windows 8.1 so I don't think your OS is the issue.

are you currently using only win 8 or 8.1? if you are using 8 then you can upgrade for free to 8.1 and that my help you with your issues. how far into the game have you got as I don't think you are able to use your journal initially until you have finished the first dream thing you start in. though I may be wrong.
