I'll preface this with a disclaimer that I only play "offline" solo so anything thinking I'm trying to screw over multiplayer games, uh no.

Can anyone explain enabling "cheats" aka debug? Everything online is "Open your Steam Library..." which is obviously stupid for owners of the GOG version. I say that because every one is like "Y0 just add -debug to the launch command" Yeah been there done that, it does nothing for the GOG version. I've got debug keybinds set in my keybinds and they also do jack squat...

As a really unnecessary explainer I thought this game looked like fun, bought it...wow this sucks. Never mind the mod issues between purchase platforms. Maybe when it's done it will be better but for me the balance is so bad it just equates to why bother. Pipe wrench to a zombie skull 15 times and it's still coming!? I'm sorry but that's not how the human body works. Pretty sure that walking pulp should have been dripping off my shoes long ago much less still upright and asking for CHANGE...SpARe ChaNGe!

So I had hoped some cheaty cheaty would allow me to balance things to my liking or at least have some fun doing ridiculous things ala a "creative mode" type of deal.

You can edit the ProjectZomboid64.json.
Where it lists the various "vmArgs", you can add a line that goes

"-Ddebug",

Whenever you execute the ProjectZomboid64.exe, as long as that argument is in the vmArgs of the json file, it will have debug mode enabled.
