hi,

in the topic "Build 41.12 - The Animation Update" at the moment it's mentioned that 41.36 is the latest version while on the download section (at least for Linux) I can only download 41.13 which is very bugged and unplayable on my main machine.

Is it only limited to Linux or all GOG users are simply left behind?

As far as I know, build 41.13 being there must be some kind of mistake as I see no way of providing download links to beta branches through the GOG website. I can only assume I made a mistake when originally trying to upload build 41 to Linux back when 41.13 was current as that must be around the time I was informed that Linux users are still not able to get GOG Galaxy natively. Could be that I've accidentally uploaded 41.13 to the master branch back then but in the back-end this is not the case at all.

Beta branches aren't supposed to appear on the website library from what I have been told and there is currently no Linux build attributed to the Master branch on GOG, so I have no idea where the discrepancy between the platforms comes from (Windows and Mac 40.43, Linux 41.13).
I can only say that build 41.13 being the default download is definitely not intended.
I will try to contact GOG about it all and also ask if there is a convenient way to provide Linux users with the beta branch updates.

On the backend, I've now fed 41.38 to a branch that linux users might see, replacing 41.13 with 41.38. That's the only thing in the GOG backend that I can see being tied to Linux, though I don't think it'll work.

If you could let me know if it somehow *does* appear on your end and works, that would be great to know, so I can include Linux builds in my uploads going forward.

I still see the 41.13 to download for Linux. But I think standalone installers have to be enabled by GOG staff. That's the reason why standalone installers take sometimes more time to update than galaxy updates - afaik.

Isn't it possible to upload two different files (stable and newer) for Linux users? I saw Version 1.0 and a newer versions of other games around at the same time.

Outstanding game by the way! And many thanks for your efforts for GOG users! :)

P.S.: This version 41.13 works for me on Linux.

yes I can only see 41.13. As @rostfreyh said there should be definitely a way to provide more than one version, since other games are doing it.
Linux branch back to 40.43.
Maybe you can introduce some kind of code pass, that one has to ask in through PM, after proving purchase - to get to Linux beta on your website. Would also work.
Can we get beta build as offline installer for Windows too ? =)

Linux stable is now back where it should be. GOG has now made offline installers for the betas also available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Thank you, can you point out which games are doing it?

GOG graciously made them available for us, but I was informed the intended way to access the builds on Windows and Mac are through the Galaxy client, and I'm just curious if it's only Linux that gets the offline installers for betas.

Awesome! Thank you very much!

I see two versions for Rimworld for example (offline installers for Linux):

RimWorld 1.1.2654 rev668
RimWorld 1.0 (1.0.2559)

Ah yeah, for Linux it's the way to go, since they don't have the Galaxy Client.

Are those available for Win and Mac, as well? It just sounded like GOG made an exception providing the beta build for Win and Mac as they should go to Galaxy for that.

I'm happy Linux can finally get their hands on it, though. :)

Hello,
The dev already said that the offline installers are not in his hands. He sends the file to gog and gog have to manually make the offline files. So you better ask to gog. Also he saids that he can directly send files on Galaxy that's why we have galaxy versions before offline. Sry for english

Am I the only one bumping on this ? The Galaxy client is optional, right ?
