Since some people said that the standard difficulty is too easy for them and there should be a difficulty between standard and hardcore I had the idea it would be cool if the game would have a custom difficulty. A game that did that very well in the past was Soldier of Fortune. It would work like this:

select how many lives you want to have: casual, standard, hardcore
select how fast enemies would be: casual, standard, hardcore
select how much damage enemies would deal: casual, standard, hardcore

Could something like this be integrated into the game?

I like this idea. I'm about halfway through my first playthrough of standard and it would be nice if I didn't have the constant stress of my life count hanging over me while playing, or if I could turn the enemy difficulty up without game over-ing on death.

Hi!

I'll add this to my list. However I am working on the most serious issues right now.

Best Regards,

Yeah I know this is not the most important thing at the moment. Cool that you consider adding something like it anyway.
I will wait for it.

I started @ normal ; was too easy.

Re-started @ hardcore, was perfect (ennemy speed & dmg) but hey, got stuck in something against the first boss and got one shot.

Save deleted.

Re-started @ normal for the three lifes ; oh yeah that's really easy.

Rage intensifies.

Hardcore settings with 2 or 3 lifes (or any custom value) was the perfect spot for a challenging first run.

Then, when you know levels & patterns, go with one life but hey.

Despite that, great great work you & your team did, can't wait to start again. Thanks inb4
I think this is a great idea, and I would love to see this exactly as described. I hope it sneaks in there...

I would like to give this one a little push.

@BuckshotSoftware

Any news if a custom difficulty mode will still be a thing in the future?
