This game has caught my eye for awhile now (on my wish list) but I don't envisage myself exploring multiplayer that much right now. How much single player content is planned? I saw that there's a new campaign mode right now, can anybody tell me, without spoiling anything, if they would recommend this game purely on the single player content please?

Thanks.

PS: nothing against multiplayer for this game, I just don't play MP much on PC.

That's actually what I would like to know too, since the game is now fully released.
Hi! Singleplayer is about 10-15h with the main story (progressively harder) and mini-quests + infinite waves of enemies in bastion sp mode.

INFINITE WAVES? Now that's sounds interesting. So is there a level up system or something similar to grind there?

I haven't tried that mode yet, because there is a lot to keep in mind and I am still struggeling sometimes.

Characters can level up.
The base leveling of the characters is the same for everyone. But you don't do it for that. At the top of the screen each character has a slider for Harmony/Dissonance and 20 or 40 points in one direction gives you a special trait for each character. If you invest points in the base leveling of a character on the harmony side, it counts towards that slider. The same for dissonance. So you will have to pick which special trait you want to go for, because you can have only Harmone OR Dissonance not both. And like in the whole game: It is about balance. While you are investing points your character may for example increase armor, but get their healthpool reduced in return.
Example of special traits:
Elae
Harmony 20 Points: Elae automatically reverts resistance into power (100%). 40 Points: Elae can use her arcanas twice in a turn.
Dissonance 20 Points: All Elae skills are granted an Armor Piercing effect (20). 40 Points: Elae receives a small Heal according to the damage she deals (10 %).
Amoa:
Harmony 20 Points: When Amoa is killed, can be spawned from Reinforcement. 40 Points: Each kill increase her damage (+50) for this game.
Dissonance 20 Points: Opponent's Armor ignored. 40 Points: If Amoa attacks from a dissonance circle, she is set next to play.

Ohh thanks for the explanation! Are you enjoying the game? It kinda reminds me of final fantasy tactics or heroes of might and magic so i feel interested in it.

Sorry. I didn't play any of those games. So I can't try and compare.

Yes. I enjoy it a lot. Prodigy Tactics has very unique mechanics. It is all about keeping the balance between Harmony and Dissonance. And keeping track of all the little things effecting each other.

The fights are slow, but I like it because there is so much to keep in mind. It gives me time to think without feeling like I need to rush to a decision for my next move. Besides I like watching the attack animations/my commands beeing executed. But if you are searching for quick adrinaline charged fights or something like that you probably shouldn't get Prodigy Tactics.

To me the story mode feels a little short. You can do main and side quests in any order, but there are places (5 or 6) you can visit and they leave a marker on the map, but you can't do anything there. I'm not sure if it's just for lore reasons or if they are planned locations for more sidequests. I'm wondering about this because there is a review from a few days ago marked as "in Dev". So maybe there is still content to be added? If it is for more sidequest, that would imo be a good amount of story. The story isn't really special (imo), but the lore is intriguing.
I would like to see background information put to a story form (e.g. a story about how the curse on Amoas people came to be. It is not mentioned in the story mode, but you can read about this curse in Amoa's character sheet) .

The character design, general visuals and animations are amazing (again imo).

Right now Training and Bastion mode only seem to have differnt types of Gerlins. Some of the Story mode opponents were really hard to beat, having one of those pop up in those two modes would spice it up a little. But that is really just about diversity. Even with "just" Gerlins, you have to think. At least I do. I don't play many tactics games, so someone who does tatics "in their sleep" might think it's too easy. I wouldn't know.

Sorry for the wall of text. :-)

This is so much useful to know, thanks!

Yeah the graphic looks amazing. I don't mind slow paced combat as I like to see animation attacks ala pokemon, so I'm perfectly fine with this.

Out of curiosity: is there specific main character?

You're welcome.
In the story mode Elae is the main character. That means most of the time she has to be on the field or you can't start the fight.
