I know this has been covered, but the jerkiness of the ball in timeshock is really kind of ruining a game that I otherwise love. The other two games work practically perfectly, but I can't seem to find any definite fix or gogteam acknowledgement of this problem. Are there any fixes? Can the 1.20 patch be applied? Will we be able to upgrade to a Windows version? I don't at all regret buying the game, I just can't seem to find anything concrete on this.
I've held off buying the game due to this concern. Normally DOSBox releases are great as it provides guaranteed cross-platform compatibility, but in this case it sounds like it ruins the experience a bit. If the reason for DOSBox release is the redbook audio I wonder if there's an alternative windows solution. There are programs like wincdemu (which is GPL so could be easily used by gog), but it requires installing a driver as any image mounter does. There's even a portable version which installs and then uninstalls the driver when its run. A solution that didn't require driver installation would be cleaner though.
I'd recommend to play the Dreamcast version through emulation (NullDC or Demul)

Not only is there the ball smoother and it supports rumble pads but it even uses less resources than the DOSBOX version. Whenever I push the trigger or the ball hit the jets, there is rumble on the gamepad. very cool effect.

Untill GOG decides to replace the DOS with the Windows version this might be the best alternative.
hey i just checked back to see if anyone had responded in awhile, wanted to say thanks to both of you. this is a great game, i wish i could get it to work. is the dreamcast version available? and wrt the windows emu thing (post before), how does that work? is installation complex, cause i didn't totally understand the driver thing. ok, ill check back every few months. go pro pinball!
I just bought this. I'm pretty disgusted. The ball lags. I cannot choose beyond 256 colors, unless I turn off screen flipping and then it's 65,000 colors but still looks bad. I cannot choose a resolution higher than 1024x768. All the other Pro Pinballs from GOG I can set at 1600x1200, millions of colors, with screen flipping on. So what's going on with this? It also uses DOSbox while the others do not. It's an awful experience and I would not have bought it if I knew it was in this condition. I feel bad about it and I hope they fix it, if it's possible. Since it appears to use the same engine as the other two it seems like it would be possible. I hope they add The Web too.
