x360 pad support is still sketchy. You have to make sure it's the default controller in the Windows config. In Windows 7 you do this with:

Start->Devices and Printers. Right-click the x360 controller, pick "Game controller settings". Click Advanced, choose the x360 controller as the "Preferred device".

Apparently there's issues with remapping certain buttons, and I have a problem where you can run with the analog stick, but only in the 4 cardinal directions. If you try to run on a diagonal, he walks instead.

UPD - i think i found the solution (it was easy lol), just change "gamepad speed" option from 1.00 to 1.25 (or more) in my case..
