I played this game on Xbox when it first released and loved it. I'd consider getting it here on GOG, but as I remember, this was definitely a console (i.e. not keyboard+mouse) game.
So my question: Are gamepads supported?

Yep, Gamepads are supported. I attached a picture of the menu option ;)

I used a generic Playstation->USB adaptor and it worked with no problems at all.
When the game first came out I played with mouse and keyboard, and couldn't see what everybody was complaining about - but now that I've played it with a pad, I can see why that's the preferred option.

I played the SoT trilogy with a Logitech controller, and it worked flawlessly. But I've a preferance for Mouse+Keyboard, better control of my character with the mouse I guess.

As previous posts said, yes they are supported but also you might like to know that Xbox 360 controllers also work with this game. If you have a wired one, XP or Vista will install the drivers for you. If you have a wireless controller, like I do, I bought this device so I didn't have to buy a new controller.
I hope this helps.

I've got a new Xbox 360 controller today, but I am unable to get it working with PoP:SoT. Controller is installed properly (USB version in XP), works well with other games (I tried Tomb Raider Anniversary), but with Prince it does nothing, it is not possible to navigate through menus with it - nothing. Do I need to "enable" it somehow? (It behaves like it is "disabled", but I cannot find such option in this game.
It works well for me with XBCD driver.
Hey, I have a Logitech Rumble Pad and I can't get the game to read it. Please help!
Ok, so I'm running this game on vista (64) and I have an Xbox 360 controller (wired) and the game has the option for a gamepad and all that jazz, but even after I click to set to gamepad control, I still cannot use it. The game does not even seem to register that the controller is there and still only responds to keyboard and mouse input. I've used this very same controller on other GoG games with no issues, is there something that I may have missed?
I have the Xbox 360 wired Controller on XP, and it worked for me with Sands of Time. I remember that there were issues with redefining some of the buttons (or was it the triggers?). But I could scroll the menu just fine. Try using the dpad instead of the thumbsticks for the menus.
Could anyone confirm that PoP:SoT works with Logitech Rumblepad 2?
I assume it does but I'm asking because of this :

Well, as far as I remember, the Logitech Rumblepad2 worked with it.
Bu I've checked it a long time ago, and I'm not sure now. (It worked with WinXP)
I can't get my wired xbox360 controller to work within this game.
It's a bit odd since the controller works just fine in other games.
I even downloaded the XBCD driver ( just for testing in compat. mode since it's an old driver ) , but nothing seems to work.
I'm on Windows7 - 64bit - US - all drivers and Win7 are fully updated.
