Does it happen if you go back a version?

Also do you get anything on the terminal that would help me fix this?
Ideally you want to run ags64 inside the game's installed location.

You can edit acsetup.cfg, located in local/share/ags/Primordia

(IF it doesn't exist there edit the one where the game installed, but only IF it doesn't exist)
changing driver under graphics to be

[graphics]
driver=Software
windowed=1


That will run the game as windowed and the renderer will be software, that should fix it!

For me on Ubuntu [with or without the change I suggested, takes 3-10 seconds] to go from black to main menu, but it is not bugged, just wait it out.

I found the reason for the issue, pushed a fix [make sure to verify/repair your files] if the issue is still present.
