How do you control game speed? Combat is much too fast. The AI can "see" the whole game map simultaneously, and can give orders in micro-milliseconds. I am just a human being. I must have the ability to scroll around see what is going on, think for a few seconds, and issue orders.
The frantic hyper-pace ruins this game completely.
The scale of the game is just wildly, grotesquely "off".
If you are going to make archers fire at the rate of a machine gun, and cavalry move at the speed of a Ferrari race car, you have to make the map HUGE, with room to manuever, and compensating, SCALED distances....Or, much better SLOW IT THE F**K DOWN. At the very least, put game speed under the control of the player, like some other games do.
I'd like to see a LAW requiring that all games have a speed control, like the one in "Original War".
