Hi,
I'm assuming you mean the hotfix mentioned in this post, right ?
Have you tried remmaping the keys and turning up the 'turning speeds' to see if it makes any difference ?

The hotfix didn't really work for me either. Without the hotfix, pressing left would just rotate the character 10 degrees to the left once, but even with the hotfix, turning left was about 10 times slower than turning right, and when I simultaneously pressed left and forward, then let go, my character would do a quick 270 degree turn. (again: that happens after I let go of the keys completely)
In the end I gave up trying to use the keyboard, set all turning speeds to 0 and bound both strafing keys to the same keys as "Left" and "Right" and now the game plays reasonably similar to a first person game (except you can turn while strafing)
I would also like to add I find it quite hilarious RWS managed to make a game where a bug that causes you to be unable to turn left is nested deep within the game's core. That's some pretty impressive programming right there. :-P

i had this problem once using an azerty keyboard for a qwerty programmed game.
Have you tried changing the keyboard layout before playing?
I didn't have this problem untill recenlty and switching the language solved it for me.
I believe shift + ALT changes it in XP.
The game worked fine on the OS it was designed for. It just doesn't work on XP and newer OS.
The "fix" doesn't work for me either and I wish there had been a disclaimer before I bought it. It is one of my favorites of all time and I assumed the problems would be fixed before someone would charge money for it. I guess I was wrong.
NM, just realized you guys were talking about the original POSTAL.
