I'm having a little problem playing the game in a window. I've tried to uncheck the "Execute in full-screen" from the Port Royale configuration, but the only way the game seems to react is to freeze after starting a free play or a scenario and showing nothing else but the title background and playing sounds (so it does start in fullscreen, unlike intended).
I'm running (hasta la) Vista, GeForce 8400M GS and 2Gb ram.
Can anyone else play in window-mode? Does someone have the same problems as I do?

The "execute in full-screen mode" box doesn't seem to do anything here, the game launches and works fine in fullscreen whether I have it checked or not. Running it on Windows XP.

There is slight different between Port Royale 2 Windowed mode On and Off - It's the matter of window handling by graphic card, might sometimes solve some compatibility issues.
But if both modes works fine, the only difference will be visible if you press WinKey in Windowed mode ON. Taskbar should appear at the bottom of the screen (regular windows taskbar...), if you do it in Windowed mode OFF, you will end up at the desktop :)
Basically - Window Mode in Port Royale 2 is noscalable maximized window - like i.e. Internet Explorer.
Incidentally, adding the /windowed tag to the shortcut for the original Port Royale runs the game in a window. I don't own Port Royale 2 so I can't test if it works with that as well.
