It features a ranking system and a whole lot of custom maps to play with. Also, depending on when you get online, there's always a few games going on :) It uses a seperate matchmaker where you can chat and hang out while you wait for games.
There is a whole range of players, those who've been playing for years and are highly skilled but also newer players who are still learning to get better.
