Hi,

I just installed Populous: The Beginning. I had no problems whatsoever with the Installation itself. I tried to start the game then (non-software shortcut) and the meessage in the added picture appeared. Of course I tried then the software-shortcut, which actually worked, but... well, look at the added "pop2.jpg".

I tried also the various advices in this forums, but none did work. Renaming the ATI-dll file etc.

Is there something else I could try?

EDIT: Alright, I took the new DLL-File of this thread (gog.com/forum/populous_series/populous_the_beginning_cannot_detect_video_card/post18) and this seems to work in D3D. Its just 800x600. Stilll better than the rainbow-farm.
