Hi, i found out about gog.com today and immediately bought some golden oldies that i have missed since my childhood!

One of which is populos the beginning. I have installed the game and it runs all ok, but once i start up a campaign the game freezes for about 5-10 seconds then resumes playing for another 5-10 seconds just to freeze again and this loops continuously.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know a way i can fix this issue?

Have you tried running the game using the default D3DPopTB.exe in the folder where the game was installed ? This usually solves a lot of problems for players.

I'll try that when i get home and get back to you.
