game wont start just got this game and installed it click to start the game either through the gog launcher or the direct exe shortcut
i just get a brief popup saying the games name and loading below then it closes and nothing




this is on window 10 with rx4700 any known issues

I'm having the same issue. (Populous: The beginning)

Originally after buying the game nothing would happen after clicking start in GoG Galaxy, but changing all .exes to run in compatibility mode gives me the same issue that Chris32345b has (although, only if I try to run any of the .exe's as admin, using the GoG launcher still does nothing)

EDIT:
Trying to launch most .exe's as admin also gives the error
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
And then promptly deletes the .exe (only able to get "popTB.exe" to launch)

I haven't tried downloading and trying the new version but guess they didn't fix dep properly then as it says in the changelog, you need to contact gog support for this issue.

Yeah that can be easily done by adding the -allres parameter to the end of the game path.

You can do this either by using the run command (windows key + r) and entering:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bullfrog\Populous\popTB.exe" -allres - if you have 64 bit system.
"C:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Populous\popTB.exe" -allres - if you have 32 bit system.
