So please don't judge me, but I'm new to all this DOSBOX and all these really old games in general. When i try to save for example D:/save it says directory not found. How do i fix this?

You can't save to D:\, you would need to mount it in DOSBox first. So either save to C:\ (game's directory is mounted as C:\) or you can mount any other directory where you wish to store game saves as D:\ by editing dosbox-conf file.

Don't enter any drive letter there. Leave the default "\" and just hit Enter (see screenshot). The saves will be stored in the game's installation folder then ( => \Police Quest 1-2-3-4\Police Quest 1\ )
The filenames will be PQSG.1, PQSG.2, PQSG.3 etc.
