I thought about buying some more games during the sale and the concept of Police Quest sounds interesting, but how do they hold up against today's standards?

I'm not talking about graphics, obviously, but I mean controls, puzzle design, stuff like that. Also, I never really played a Sierra Adventure, I heard they were quite different from what Lucas Arts did.

I feel that the games will offer a you quite a bit of challenge, if you are able to keep far from the various FAQ's and walkthrough's on the web. If you use just the manuals included with the game, you WILL be able to solve all of the puzzles in the game, yet you will definitely have to take the developers advice to "Save Often!" The games are challenging, yet possible if you use your brain.

Graphically, the games all looked good for the time they were developed, in respect to the EGA VGA days. PQ4 uses FMV, which is actors placed in scenes. PQ3 looks great for it's time, and still looks good if you like those nostalgic emotions.
