First time I install the game on a Windows 10 machine and the game speed is all wrong.

A lap I take in real 1 min and 10 seconds, appear in the game as 1 min and 50 seconds. The game feels all sped up. Almost double the speed.
WTF is going on?

ok speed problem appear to be mostly fixed by changing the monitor refresh rate to 60, down from 144hz.

Now there are sound issues, but one thing at a time.
Hi, i have a similar problem.
Tried all the methods nGlide with 60Mhz, Podhacks, dgVoodoo. But a few seconds after starting the game speeds up.

PC spec:
i5 8400
GTX 960
the frequency of the monitor itself is 60Hz
Same here, but I'm now addicted to it, I can't go back. I don't want this to be fixed, the game experience is absolutely AMAZING at this speed! First person view recommended.

I didn't use any extra wrappers or software in general. I just use the GOG installation (offline installers) and make sure to have from (Windows 10 Pro) display properties set to 60hz).
I fixed the sounds issues too by first playing it in windowed mode with the help of dxwnd.exe and then setting the priority of the executable to normal from low it was.

Unfortunately I can't make OBS see the game though.
