sunkefer: I finally became a mage and got some spells memorized. I have used 2 different spells once and now when hitting the spells button in fight mode they are all greyed out always? Why? Thanks.
You can only cast a certain amount of spells per day. If you memorize one Magic Missile, you can only cast it one time before you have to replenish it through resting. To cast more spells of the same type you have to memorize them multiple times. If you memorize Magic Missile in two slots, you'll have the ability to cast it twice. If you want, you can fill all of the spell slots on a certain spell level with just only one spell type.
