I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but just to ease my mind, is it impossible to import my save from the original game to the enhanced edition? I assume the save formats are completely different, but I still have some hope that, either manually or with the help of some fancy program, it could be possible to convert one into the other. I'm transitioning from one to the other and despite how good the game has been so far, I really don't want to start over from the beginning.

Saves from original PST are not compatible with PST:EE.

Im still hoping that someone will write some convertor, if someone has info about new and old saves format, it should be possible.
I guess that files can contain only this info:
- items in inventory,
- items on old floor
- some info about selected dialog options..
- info about quest progress
- some character stats
