Hey everyone

So I just got back from baator after getting the pillar of skulls to tell me about the fortress of regrets, I went to forked-tongue, asked him how I could leave the outlands and he got killed by demons because I told the pillar where he was. Problem is that the portal isn't showing up. I tried reloading, I tried talking to the pillar again but nothing.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

The tail portal was always buggy, IIRC. If you can't trigger it by standing right near its spawn point and doing a save/load, you're in a big mess.

Perhaps betraying Fhjull wasn't a very good idea; the safest "payment method" is your own blood, or lying about Fhjull (need 18+ Charisma for this). Fhjull's death after the Pillar conversation should've triggered the portal automatically, so it looks like you've run into a bug. The thing is, if he doesn't get killed, then you can actually ask him how to get out, and that usually works. If you can reload that far back, do it. I suspect that simply editing the variables in the save file won't work, so you'll have to redo this sequence either way if you can't get the portal to open.

I'm not sure but in a few spots in Torment when you get stuck try using WASD rather than the mouse. Sometimes that seems to kick it into gear. The original portal is there, somewhere, or should be.
