Hello fellow GOG'ers,

Just picked this baby up and as always first thing I do is check the MD5. I've downloaded the game twice and it resulted in the same MD5 however can't find the same hash anywhere.

What I've got:

File name: setup_planescape_torment_2.0.0.8.exe / MD5: 6A2441BC9922C1B9E65FCD06C20CE223

And this is from "[url=http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/Planescape:_Torment]http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/Planescape:_Torment[/url]":

File name: setup_planescape_torment_2.0.0.8.exe / MD5: 98474820330a1487694c61820c85fa45

PS: While writing this I just noticed the installer for this game has been built on 3rd April 2013 (3 days ago) so I'm guessing GOG has released a ninja update, could anyone confirm if my hash is right. I know I'm being rather paranoid :-) Thanks for the help.

This question / problem has been solved by Alaeusimage
Your checksum matches what I get when I check the file I downloaded a few hours ago to reinstall the game. I believe it's fine.

While checking about a changed MD5 hash I stumbled across this old thread.
I downloaded setup_planescape_torment_2.0.0.8.exe in 2013 and got the hash 98474820330a1487694c61820c85fa45
Today I downloaded it again (or rather lgogdownloader decided to download it again) and got a6e2879e10d49f29a5d70e2eee4093e2

I compared the two files (with "strings" and "diff") and noticed two notable string changes:
1. Inno Setup Messages (5.5.0) was changed to Inno Setup Messages (5.5.3)
2. <supportedOS Id="{4a2f28e3-53b9-4441-ba9c-d69d4a4a6e38}"/> was added

So a new Inno Setup installer was created to set the compatibility flag for Windows 8.

When looking at the changes on http://www.playonlinux.com/en/changelog-1253-GOGcom__Planescape_Torment.html it looks like the file regularly gets updated.
The wiki page you mentioned shows an updated, but already obsolete hash, too.
Hello, sorry for necrobumping but this is actually what shows when I'm searching "gog game hash" and I want to complete. There's a hidden but working way to get the md5 hashes of game. First you download the game you want through the browser, and then copy the link where you got it from.
Something like cdn-hw.gog.com/secure/linux_offlines/<random numbers here>/<game name>.sh?ttl=<etc ...>
(.sh is because I downloaded the Linux version)
Here you just need to add ".xml" to <game name>.sh
Like this : cdn-hw.gog.com/secure/linux_offlines/<random numbers here>/<game name>.sh.xml?ttl=<etc ...>
And you will get some xml file. Look at the first line ; "<file name" ... You have an "md5="<hash here>"" field with the hash ! Now you can verify your game.

EDIT : got this method from www.gog.com/forum/general/md5_hashes_for_big_downloads_like_the_witcher_3
