Finished this up a few days ago: I tried to walk away from the conversation but she wouldn't let me unless I agreed to go kill someone. So I decided to agree but not kill the target. But then I started poking around the lab and I got caught stealing. Ended up killing her anyway, and shrugging my shoulders.
You are a terrible person. :P

Did you end up siding with Kolsc or Raedric?

I was tempted to wash my hands of the whole thing and just walk away, but that didn't seem to be a choice without leaving the quest unfinished in the journal. I feel like choosing not to get involved in their power struggle after speaking with Raedric should close the quest and award some amount of xp. You've already done the brunt of the work at that point, everything but the assassination itself.

But I suppose if you've murdered people to get to him, Raedric might not be inclined to just let you walk away. And I guess it's a "you got involved, now you have to make a choice" scenario. Still, I'd like an option to close out the quest without killing either one once you've heard both sides of the story.
I am going with Kolsk, but that battle with the boss was too hard for my 4 guys. I headed off to get another level and another party member, but I'll be back soon.

I'm a bit behind because I've played the start over and over with different classes, just to see what's up. Also, I take a break from playing it every other day - I tend to get sick of games if I'm not careful.

alcaray: I've just started Raedric's Hold. ***SPOILERS***

Just met the nethermost lady and damn. I can't believe the rotten choice they want me to make. I'm going to feel dirty as hell, no matter what I do. Is there any way to get through this in a way that helps the town?

SeduceMePlz: Here's what I did:

1. Talk to Nedmar the priest & tell him you will free Giacco.
2. Clear the dungeon of monsters.
3. Free Giacco.
4. Talk to Osyra the animancer & tell her you will kill Nedmar (but don't).
5. Return to Nedmar & tell him you've freed Giacco.
6. Use the key Nedmar gives you to access Raedric's throne room.

Probably doesn't have to be this exact order.

Results:

- Nedmar is alive & able to continue plans to rededicate the temple to Berath, possibly curing the Legacy.
- Osyra is alive & able to continue attempting to cure the Legacy using animancy.
- I was able to complete the quest with minimal blood on my hands (the only humans I killed before the battle at the end of the quest were two guards that I couldn't sneak past... I prefer to imagine that we actually incapacitated them).
If you have a high enough perception you can convince Osyra that Raedric sent you to check on her and avoid killing her or promising to kill Nedmar :) [12+ - at least the perception check dialogue option said 12]
