Hello fellow Watchers!

I find that my party keeps switching their equipment. Eder is my tank, and for seemingly no reason, he would switch to his rifle. My ranger's main weapon is a bow, but she keeps swapping to her melee gear. How do I keep this from happening?

Thank you for replying.

There was a glitch where dominated or charmed characters switched weapons. I'm not sure if it was patched out or not.

It was a glitch ? I always though was intentional.
Anyway, this behavior is still present on the game (last run this year)

Why would such a behaviour be intentional? *confused*

I believe the charmed/dominated character switches to the highest damage weapon that is equipped, which is one reason it could be intentional.

Regardless, it's a major annoyance that luckily does not currently plague PoE 2.

Because I thought was side-effect from the confused character as HanSweLow stated. And even if they swapped to the highest damage weapon (on my party, typically arquebus or crossbows), that means that my rouge was not inflicting all his raw damage over my own party, so I find it like a small blessing.

But that doesn't make it intentional.
I also ran into that weapon switching on occasion so I removed the secondary weapons altogether for my Fighter as well as Eder, Pallegina, Durance etc.

I then reset the Auto Script to Aggressive/Aggressive for most of my party. Only chose None/Aggressive for Durance and the Grieving Mother(I manually selected what they were to cast as needed otherwise they gave long range weapon assist.)

It turned out well as I finished PoE just today! Considering purchasing PoE2....
