It doesn't look like GOG owners are getting access to the beta for the new turn-based update for Pillars of Eternity 1, unless they just forgot to mention it in the news post.

The update is looking great honestly, much better than PoE 2's implementation of turn-based.
GOG rarely gets beta tests if ever. Sadly Epic also is not mentioned if you have it there from when it was given for free. They will have to rework a lot for this to work. Some places have tons of enemies. Will be interesting to see even though I am not a fan of turn based combat in general. For me PoE is one of the perfect examples what I want from real time combat.
I forgot about Epic, that's disappointing. Pretty sure I do have it on there too.

I prefer RTwP as well, but being able to toggle modes on the fly is really nice. Such as when you want to set up a perfect opener or if a really difficult encounter gets out of control. I'm curious as to how they will balance that, since lethality evidently changes depending on the mode you're in.
I also prefer RTwP, but given that they are making extra considerations with regards to the balancing, I am secretly hoping that the introduction of a turn-based mode will grant me an excuse to come back and play again in a way that necessitates a fresh approach the game, that I still find fun.
