Is there multiplayer co-op similar to how baldur's gate worked?

Also its on sale right now. I notice the expansion white march says advanced player AI and enemy AI.

If i only bought the original game will i have crappy AI in the game?

Do i need to buy white march to make the AI better in the original version?

Finally
Hero edition - only comes with a pdf manual. 22.95
Champ edition - comes with soundtrack ringtons etc. 29.99
royal edition - comes with novella etc. 44.99

Any recommendation on which i should buy?
probably the cheapest one with white march expansion right?

The AI ... Ehm, advancements were introduced in a patch which got released for both the base game and the expansion. So, no.

Yup, there's no additional in-game content in the more expensive editions.

Thanks.
1 - The developers from the beginning said they were focus only in single player, BUT you can create your custom party if you wish.
2 - As Fenixp said, the improvement in AI and combat options were added by the patch coming with the expansion, and is available to everyone with the game.
3 - If you don't care by the extras, yeah, the cheapest, though Gog seem to not have options for upgrading later.

Yes, unless you feel like buying some very expensive ringtones/PDFs, get the Hero edition. The game itself is the same for all editions.
