At least communication is "great" again. Maybe they should fire their PR manager. Somehow no developer learns to place at least one guy to communicate actively in the first weeks with the community. So they piss of the people by letting them down in the dark. Yeah, it sucks to write the same things a dozen times in a friendly manner, but that's how you get great feedback and happy customers in short time. But by placing one piece of information on a single platform and run into hiding they get nothing but pissed off customers. True story.

Sometimes miracles happen:

The patch is currently being crunched on by QA. If everything checks out, then you'll probably get an update by end of day tomorrow.

Well, on the other hand we GOG users are most likely out of luck, as the GOG guys most likely take some well earned days off. So, maybe Tuesday or something like this. Sometimes I have to ask myself why exactly I don't choose steam ...

Wouldn't it be possible to just download the patch off of Obsidian's site and install that? I assume they'll replace only files within the game, and none of the specific GOG or Steam files.

"Still, there's no reason why we couldn't do even better: we recently started offering support on Saturdays and Sundays, and the team just got a bit bigger."

Cross fingers, because the Gog team could begin to hunt eggs from tomorrow until monday :P
I really hope to see that patch online Friday evening or Saturday. If all goes well, I'll be off on Monday, and I'd really like to get a weekend of gaming in again, after a very long time; and with a NEW game for a change :)

Still, if there isn't a patch tomorrow, I'll pick up my current Baldur's Gate 1 run again until there is.

Modified attributes of companions and Itumaak.
Reduced the price of the Brighthollow Hearth and Courtyard Pool.
Arbalest damage has been lowered.

It would be nice to use the lower tier spells without being in melee range. :-)
