I found it.
I found a forum that says go to that top left location in the original map and click on the egg thing.
Well I did and nothing happens.

Is this the right place and bugged or is it random between any of those things?

Yup, that's the right place, called Cilant Lis. The clickable hotspot should be somewhere at the base of the structure - if you can't see it, I'd suggest sending a bug report to Obsidian.

For some reason it didn't work when I went there the first time.
I reloaded an earlier game and then went there later and it worked; I have no idea why.

Now I just wish I could rebind it to someone else because my main character has no need of melee weapons! >.<

Yup, sadly, the best you can do after finishing the quest is removing it from the character it's bound to, but not other character will be able to equip it afterwards.
I gave it to the Devil of Caroc. She didn't have a good weapon when she joined up, so it seemed to fit.

how did you give it to her?
It's not possible to give it to anyone other then the person it's bound to. o.O

Honestly, my first reaction when it auto-bound to the character which picks it up was to load the game and pick it up with my estoc user.
Yes, I simply picked it up with the character who I wanted to use the weapon. I had a lot of ranged or mage characters, so I obviously wouldn't use any of those with this weapon. I had no one else in the party I wanted to have this one.

The problem with that is you have to have forknowledge of the event.
By the time I'd researched it online, I'd already saved AFTER picking it up with my main guy (a wizard).
I wasn't going to waste 25 minutes redoing that map just to get the sword, either.

They should just make this sword movable between characters after you complete the event, so it works as a normal sword with awsome abilities, instead of being soulbound.

Well I knew what soulbound weapons were ever since they first talked about the expansion, so...
