I installed this game with the off-line installer time ago with the last official patch of the game. And this year I made the big mistake of letting Gog galaxy to scan for my games directory.

Now, each certain time is trying to update the game. Even when I went to "settings -> Game feature" and disabled the "auto-update games". The big problem is that the game is requesting the UAC interface, and it never seems to success on the operation is attempting on the game (Which is not in a directory under the OS control) and need to request it again.

I'm going to uninstall the game for now, but I would like to know if this is a known problem. Because if it is, Goodbye Galaxy.
Same problem here.

To be honest, after some months I tried installing the game directly from GOG Galaxy, but the problem was exactly the same.
There were around 20 UAC prompts before the game was finally installed.

It seems this is a specific issue between Galaxy and PoE2 (not sure if specific to certain editions, but I doubt it as mine were from the crowfunding) .

And I never got a proper answer from GOG support as my first report was by means of gog.com, but then they asked me to use directly Gog Galaxy... and I can't remember if they answered me by that channel. Still, I'm tolerating Gog Galaxy due so far the issue is only with a single game.
i solved the problem unninstaling and reinstalling PoE2. A bit annoying since i had to download the whole game again.
