After downloading the game I go to launch the installer and get a message that files are missing. Specifically I ger the following message: Installer files missing - please make sure you have down loaded all necessary parts. " I have downloaded everything available for download. Anyone else having these issues?

Note: I used the GOG installer
The game seems to be looking for:

setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1-1.bin

It is unable to locate it in any of the downloaded files. Thoughts?

Well do you have this file on your disk or not? And if you have it, can you redownload just that part?

I'm only at 50% or so, my Internet is not that fast.

setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1-2.bin
I have them in the same directory. setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1-1 downloaded as a .exe. I will change file extension and see what happens.
I had the same error. Checking the files downloaded to my hard drive, they far smaller than they were supposed to be according to the information found in the library, so I will try downloading the files again.

Not that I can find. the .exe is broken into 3 parts. When I start the install it begins the setup creates the files/folders but stops when it is looking for setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1-1.bin. Renaming the .exe did not work. My downloaded GOG (POE) files are listed as:
setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1.exe
setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1 (1).exe
setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.0.0.1 (2).exe

I think I have it figured out...the GOG Downloader downloaded 3 versions of the same .exe instead of 3 separate files. I will re-download and see it is fixed.

This appears to be an issue with the downloader. When I did a manual download I got the correct files. Re-downloading manually...looks good so far.
I got the error that the first .bin file was damaged so I'm trying to redownload it and see what happens

I just got the exact same error. Sadly it takes me over an hour, just to see if that fixes it.
I'm not getting any error messages, the installer simply freezes at what looks like to be 10% or so.

Help??

I'm having the exact same problem.

I'll try redownloading the files, I guess.

Same problem, even after file integrity check passing and having tried both the Downloader/Manual file options.

Edit: Installer progressed since I made my post. I am wondering why this game is going to take 1-2 hours to install....

Edit 2: Installation is painfully slow, like windows 98 back in the day where you went away to go do laundry and maybe run errants slow " which could be my computer or a poorly packaged installation file because I havent had them take this long with other games on my gog account." Unless the installer gives you error feedback or fails file integrity check just let it be and patience will prevail.

Hm, I have an entirely diffferent error, not sure how to resolve it either.

It says the version of the files I downloaded isn't compatible to my Windows Version - which would imply there are different setup.exe files for 64 Bit and 32 Bit? Doesn't make sense to me...

Aaaand redownloading the exe only worked. ffs. sorry.

had the same issue though mine got to about 10% after an hour and a half. redownloading and might have to try manual and not the gog downloader if it doesn't work.

The installer worked once but was missing files after it finished. the .exe to run the game wasn't there.

EDIT: when I downloaded the game I was having an issue with the extra content bundle crashing the downloader. the install should be finished in a minute but if that doesn't work I will try to re download it now that the game information is fixed in my library, as that may have caused the issue.
