Hi guys!

I just bought PoE and it is really an awesome game so far. Unfortunately, I am experiencing freezing and delay in a lot of situations: when an NPC talks, when I open the inventory/character sheet, when I fight... I've tried to disabled my network services, runned in administrator mode, compatibility mode (Windows 8), without success.

My specs:
CPU: Core Intel I7
HDD/1To and SSD/250Gb (My game is on the HDD and the OS is on the SSD. This should not cause any problem however.)
Video Card: Intel and Nvidia GTX 960M (Running on the Nvidia card and the driver is up to date.)

I should be running this game easily. I really don't understand what's wrong.

Thank you in advance.

Bjorn Red.

Make sure you disable the on-board Intel graphics in your BIOS.

Motherboards, and their BIOSes, are many and varied. Read your motherboard manual.

It will help because there is a conflict between two graphic chips. You don't want the crappy integrated chip enabled when you have a dedicated card. Windows 10, in particular, is apt to default to the onboard drivers.
That's not the problem. I'm using Optimus which use both GPU. When I'm playing, my PC is using the Nvidia one.

Thank you tho.

Have it your way.
I just looked at my output log and I have a NullReferenceException on UINewsBanner.Update(). Is that normal?

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at UINewsBanner.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

(Filename: Line: -1)

Thank you again.

"<filename unknown>" is the important part here. It is telling you that the cause of the issue is "unknown". That means it could be any number of issues.

"UINewsBanner.Update"? I'm going to guess that's something to do with Galaxy? Maybe turn off overlay, if applicable?
Good idea. It is not the solution however.

Pretty sure that NullReferenceException is the problem, I have no idea how to fix it tho.

Gonna try a fresh install I guess.
