Hopefully there will be a proper installer for a patch at the same time as they fix the issue where the full download is corrupted.

It really is disappointing. Did nobody try installing the .sh file they put up before they opened it to users?

I can confirm, I have the same problem, size is only 17,4GB instead of 20,3GB, setup fails with "Initial setup failed. Cannot continue." My download has this md5: 9d155dea6c3cdd83fcac8786fbe77d84

I have the exact same md5 as well, and I've fully re-downloaded maybe 5 times just to make sure, on different computers.

I almost wish I had gotten this on Steam instead. Needing to wait over the weekend just to get a corrupted download?

I'm right there with ya. At least with Steam I'd actually have a functional client and would have been able to play already. I love GOG and DRM-free but jeez.

1.1 is now available as a patch.

Yeah, the patch works on my system, as well as free DLC ;) They also fixed complete game download, but I didn't try it.
