Wildeyn: I have the Doemenels .3 increase to crit with my wizard, and my daze effect goes to 9.9 secs on a crit from 6.6! It should be 1.8X dam and dur on a crit, but Obsidian doesn't have it working, something that huge and basic, in version 2.02! Basically both the crit multiplier from weapons and crit mult from doemenels isn't stacking AT ALL.
People who don't play rpg's may say no big deal, but it totally defeats the immersion and everything about an rpg if your basic character stats dont even come close to working right like this, and this many months after release, totally insane.
Not at all disputing you, but frankly when playing the game I simply don't have time to sit there and whip out a calculator to determine if each blow is extracting the "correct" amount of damage...it seems to me that doing that would destroy the immersion as much as anything else. I mean this is just elementary math and I can't see the game getting that wrong because it's such a straightforward thing to program in. Perhaps something is going on within the enemies you are fighting (spells cast, abilities used, etc.) that serves to blunt the damage you are calculating...? Just a thought...As an aside, however, Blizzard for instance is still programming in "balance fixes" into its games a decade after they shipped...;)
