Hi all!

I recently purchased an Acer Predator G9-793 gaming notebook. All games running smoothly so far. I just downloaded "Pillars of Eternity" and started the game. Already during character creation the CPU hits high temperatures (90 degrees Celsius) and the fans go crazy.

I limited the FPS cap to 60 - no difference at all.

Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

Many thanks & best regards
Christian
that system is known for erratic benchmarks but pillars is also an App based game so I would first assume your anti-virus is trying to sandbox it.
when you open the game and idel in the grapthics | sound options screens, how much cpu % is the game using?
p.s, 30%-40% would be normal
Thanks for your respsonse! I turned off Kaspersky Internet Security. Just sitting in the graphics & sounds menu I am around 20-35% CPU usage. Fans still going crazy.
