Pangaea666: I'm not seeing a patch to 3.0.6 in my library. Has it not been released? Why not? The full download appears to be 3.0.6, but that's a bit excessive, to say the least, for three minor changes.

HypersomniacLive: I suppose not.

GOG often says that when the patch is comparable in size to the installers, they see no point in providing a patch along with the updated installers. But I have no idea if it applies in this case, you have to ask Judas or better yet Thiev for a definite answer.
That shouldn't be the case here then, as the full installer is around 7 GB (without White March) and people on the official forum talked about the patch being 1.4 GB. And it would be much, much smaller on GOG, given the way they pack things, and the small fixes contained in this patch. Seems to me that it's in precisely these cases the benefit with a patch is biggest.

Maybe not a big deal given the game is a few years old now, but it should also be less load on GOG's servers when people can download a 10 MB patch instead of the whole game again, 7 GB a piece. Maybe easier to force Galaxy into the full installer though...

edit: From a developer on the official forum:
Apologies about the large download. The way Unity handles any changes to code (no matter how small) is that it rebuilds a large chunk of the game and repackages it all together. The patch doesn't change the size of the game on your hard drive, but it is a big download.

Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition

Changelog for Hotfix (Mac & Linux) 3.07 (added 23 November 2017):

- Fixes issue causing pink assets to display in game in Mac and Linux versions of DLCs
How can we download this hotfix? I'm not seeing it in the game page in my account. I'm on Linux, and don't use galaxy.

Dropdown >> OS Linux. Version 3.07 is the hotfix.

Unless the "hotfix" is the full game download at 7GB, I'm not seeing it.

GOG has a tendency not to provide individual patches any longer. They have taken to updating the full installers instead. Have done for some time.

But... That's the patch they released on December 19th. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/95227-patch-3071318-is-now-live/ Gog took this long to roll this out here?

Since the previous update here dates back to Nov 23, 2017, the answer seems to be yes? It's possible, even quite likely, that the patch was available through GOG Galaxy earlier than Jan 3, 2018, and it was only the standalone installers that took this long to get updated.

Edit: fixed typo

Well I had GOG Galaxy running pretty much every day, so I'm gonna say it took as long as the standalone patches. I thought GOG had "fixed" this by now, that they were always getting patches days or even weeks after Steam. It's such a disadvantage.

I'm not sure if I should get Pillars 2 on GOG, because 2 weeks is about the time it takes to completely finish a game. No one wants to wait this long to receive a patch that has already been out. :(
So just to make sure I understand this, in order to get the patches, GOG Galaxy needs to be open or I would have to redownload the installer?
