I've been looking around forums about how well my laptop would run the series, and have been getting varied answers.

My specs:
Intel i3 6100u 2.3 GHz
Intel HD 520 gpu
8 gb goats.

Yes I know integrated chips suck, but honestly i think they've been getting better for games. For reference i finished Divinity Original Sin Enhanced. Albeit with crap shadows n stuff.

From what I've read people have successfully played with similar setups except with older Intel HD cards.
But I've also read people having a shite time with superior setups.

I guess it would also depend on peoples' minimum acceptable fps and graphic options.
Personally FPS > visuals.

Probably. It won;t run well in certain areas or fights. But you should be able to run it ok if a little poorly

Patch 1.1 (which will come out soon, it's in beta right now) is going to add more options to disable graphical effects. The game should then be much faster on less powerful hardware.

Is the second one much different in requirements?

Actually the loading times are a bit shorter than in the first one, so if anything I'd say they optimized it.
