Hello!

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1351080/Pharaoh_A_New_Era/

Thoughts? We don't get much game footage in the trailer. I heard it's going to be made from the ground up, as this dev team doesn't have the source code. Pharaoh will be included with Cleopatra. I got his info from GamerZakh, if you want more info, check out his video on the topic : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tbHxb2rA4s&
Ecstatic that the game is getting renewed attention, but can't say I'm sold on the 'new' graphics.

Some of it looks as the voice said cartoonie.but I would take that.
But some of the old maps were unbalanced and I hope that doesn't happen. It was bothersome to have to build 15 Dance Schools to keep unemployment down on some maps.
I also hope that Cleopatra gives a good blend of Egyptian and Green culture.

Thanks for the link

It's not that different from the old game IMO. It has the old models, but with a more crisp look to it.

Unfortunately, I fear the crispier look will be the old version. Check out this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1351080/discussions/0/2922228082021747396/

Be careful not to be confused by the first 2 pictures on the top left side, as they accidentally switched old and new there. The crisp image is the *old* version, the blurry one is the remaster.
All other images are on the correct side.

I really hope this artwork is not the final look, because that would mean a downgrade of the visuals compared those available the free HD mod in terms of visuals!

Of course, any changes to gameplay can still be an improvement.

Thanks for bringing that up. Game devs are like doctors, good ones will take the time to listen. Hopefully they will fix this. I might wait to see a comparison between the old game and the remastered version's finished product.
I am pretty excited about this Pharaoh remake/revision and a completely new game in the same spirit and visual appearance, Nebuchadnezzar, similar concept but with mesopotamic civilizations and cultures.

It will be available in GOG in mid February if I am not mistaken.

Also, Builders of Egypt wil be available in GOG in the future. We have even a demo/Prologue to try. This time the game will be fully 3D and more modern in its concept, in the vein of today City builders.

Greetings

The single screenshot looks pretty sweet. I can't tell if they made very exact recreations of all the old art assets or if that's just what they looked like before they were crushed down to ship on CD back in the day. Either way I'm looking forward to it. Especially if it comes with some of the improved roadblocks from later games.
