I am doing the first Pharaoh scenario which asks me to build 6 Meager Shanties but i can not complete it, spent 2 hours on it so far. I have built 6 Sturdy Huts, a couple of wells and two prefects but the scenario will not advance any further and i can not build anything else. l am using Windows 10.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try laying out some more housing to increase your population, just to make sure the level is not waiting on you to reach a certain population.

These are tutorial missions, make sure you actually read the pop up boxes, they will explain everything about how to progress. If you are failing the very first mission like this, you probably won't get far into the game, when the missions get harder and expect you to have actually taken note of the tutorial boxes :P

Yeah, you know, I happen to have the exact same issue and the problem is that those tutorial boxes just won't show up even though I've done everything the game has told me to (which is, in this case, to create housing areas and watch the immigrants arrive-a simple task). That's the problem.

I assume this is the first mission (Nubt). You need 150 total population before you get the next pop-up box about Food, then after that you need the Granary to fill up to 400-500 Game Meat to get told about Clean Water. At that point, you should be able to get the victory fairly easily.

Which tutorial City requires you to lower the challenge to complete? It's been a while and I can't remember which one. (

That would be Perwadjyt, the third mission. The first two before it are winnable on any difficulty level.
