Pharaoh, first mission in the second series.

Okay, so I have several farms and two fully staffed granaries. The harvest comes, one granary gets filled completely but the other stays empty. Some cart pushers stay put next to farms with their deliveries. Huh? I right click them and they complain "there's no place to accept these goods". Wha... what gives? There's one granary empty and connected! And close!

I build a storage yard. The cart pushers fill the first granary and put the rest in the storage yard, still ignoring the other granary!

I order the problematic empty granary to get food. Its cart pushers get food... from the other granary ignoring the food piling up in the storage yard!

What... the... hell?

Okay I decided maybe the granary is bugged (?) so I'll destroy it and build again, perhaps that will fix it. I order it to "empty", while I also order the working granary (who got emptied in the meantime by a bazaar) to get goods (maybe this one is willing to get the grain lying in the storage yard for a change?).

However the cart pusher from the working granary ignores Storage Yard again and reaches the bugged (?) granary that has already emptied itself... and stays there, idle. Since the bugged granary is empty I destroy it. The cart pusher still stays in place. Huh? I rebuild the destroyed granary, cancel the order to get goods in the old one. Still its cart pusher stands in that same place idle, not budging an inch.

Ready to tear my hair out, I quit the game. No idea what I'm doing wrong or if the game decided to throw several bugs at me at once.

The granary needs workers: is it actually passing enough houses and does it have a full amount of workers? I believe the Granary needs at least half employment to accept food, but it may need full employment.
As I said in the first sentence, it was fully staffed, 12/12.
Please post either a screenshot of the issue, or upload a save game so others can take a look. :)

I figured it out. It was straw, not grain. No wonder I got confused, it looks almost exactly the same as grain, there's absolutely no use for it in this scenario and it hasn't been mentioned in any of the tutorial messages. When the first batch spawned, there was no Storage Yard available yet, so that's why there was "no place willing to accept it".

Still I'm clueless about the stuck cart pusher, but whatever, I replayed that scenario with better layout and finished it.
You have the Gentile Version.
The Jewish Version does not have straw.
Huh? Care to explain what you mean by these "versions"? I simply bought Pharaoh + Cleopatra from Gog and downloaded through Galaxy...

There is only one version. A poor attempt at Biblical humor.
Sorry.

Ah lol. Now I'm feeling stupid. I actually forgot the meaning of the word "gentile" xD and I didn't know the whole "bricks without straw" thing, now I brushed up my knowledge with google and wikipedia ;D

(English is not my native language)

Unfortunately I can't mark my own post as solution when I ended up finding one myself ;P
